Biography

Adelitas Way, formed in Las Vegas in 2006, emerged from a group led by vocalist Rick DeJesus, drummer Trevor Stafford, and guitarist Chris iOrio. Their breakthrough came with "Invincible" (17 April 2009), which received national exposure through television commercials, WWE programming, and the SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 video game, propelling the band onto mainstream radio. The debut album Adelitas Way followed on 14 July 2009 under Virgin Records, recorded at Groovemaster Studios with producer Johnny K. In 2011, the sophomore effort Home School Valedictorian (7 June 2011) featured the chart‑topping single "Sick" that reached Number 1 on Active Rock Radio, with subsequent singles "The Collapse" and "Criticize" also performing strongly. After lineup changes in 2013, the band recorded Stuck (29 July 2014) with producer Nick Raskulinecz, and the single "Dog on a Leash" peaked at number 7 on the Active Rock chart. The 2016 release Getaway yielded "Bad Reputation" (number 12 on Active Rock), while 2017’s Notorious produced "Ready for War (Pray for Peace)", the official theme for WWE TLC 2016. Subsequent albums Shine On (14 August 2020) and Power (15 September 2023) continued the band’s presence on hard‑rock charts, reinforcing Adelitas Way’s position within the American hard‑rock scene.
