Adelitas Way, formed in Las Vegas in 2006, emerged from a group led by vocalist Rick DeJesus, drummer Trevor Stafford, and guitarist Chris iOrio. Their breakthrough came with "Invincible" (17â¯Aprilâ¯2009), which received national exposure through television commercials, WWE programming, and the SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 video game, propelling the band onto mainstream radio. The debut album Adelitas Way followed on 14â¯Julyâ¯2009 under Virgin Records, recorded at Groovemaster Studios with producer Johnny K. In 2011, the sophomore effort Home School Valedictorian (7â¯Juneâ¯2011) featured the chartâtopping single "Sick" that reached Number 1 on Active Rock Radio, with subsequent singles "The Collapse" and "Criticize" also performing strongly. After lineup changes in 2013, the band recorded Stuck (29â¯Julyâ¯2014) with producer Nick Raskulinecz, and the single "Dog on a Leash" peaked at number 7 on the Active Rock chart. The 2016 release Getaway yielded "Bad Reputation" (number 12 on Active Rock), while 2017âs Notorious produced "Ready for War (Pray for Peace)", the official theme for WWE TLC 2016. Subsequent albums Shine On (14â¯Augustâ¯2020) and Power (15â¯Septemberâ¯2023) continued the bandâs presence on hardârock charts, reinforcing Adelitas Wayâs position within the American hardârock scene.
