Formed in 2020, Adele Dazeem is a trio from Dalston, East London. Comprising Charlie Hearl (guitar and vocals), Philippe O'Connor (bass) and Frank Andrews (drums), it came into being during the Covid-19 pandemic-related lockdown and found its name referencing John Travolta's famous mispronunciation during the 2014 Oscars ceremony, when he announced the name "Adele Dazeem" instead of Idina Menzel. Evolving between shoegaze and post-rock, Adele Dazeem released the singles "Fort Shaun" (2023), followed by "Dust", "Meridian Water" and "Daim " in 2024. In 2025, the track "Misère", taken from the Metanoia EP, reached number 29 in the UK physical singles chart.
