Abney Park, an American band from Seattle, was formed in 1997 by Robert Brown. The group initially gained recognition as a goth industrial band, releasing their first full-length album Welcome to the Park and Abney Park in 1998, followed by Return to the Fire in 1999. Their 1000 album, Cemetery Number 1, introduced steampunk themes with songs like "The Change Cage" and "The Wake". In 2005, Abney Park transitioned into a steampunk band, adopting fictional identities and creating a backstory involving airship pirates. The band's music has been featured in various media, including the HBO series True Blood, and they have performed at numerous festivals like Steamcon and Dragon*Con. Notable releases include From Dreams Or Angels (2002), The End of Days (2010), and Nomad (2014).
