Biography

Abdullah, a metal band formed in 1998 in the United States of America, was founded by Jeff Shirilla on drums and vocals. The group quickly expanded with Al Seibert on guitar and released their debut EP Snake Lore in 1999 through Rage of Achilles Records. Their self-titled album Abdullah, released in November 2000 via MeteorCity Records, marked a significant milestone in their career. In October 2002, Abdullah released their second full-length album, Graveyard Poetry. The band continued to evolve with various lineup changes and collaborations, including the split release Abdullah / Dragonauta in 2005 through Dias de Garage Records and the EP Worship later that year. After announcing an extended hiatus in January 2009, Abdullah played their final show on January 17 of the same year to focus on Jeff Shirilla's new project, This is Antarctica.
