Biography

A Loss for Words is an American pop punk band from Abington, Massachusetts, formed in 1999 by Matty Arsenault and Danny Poulin. Originally known as Last Ride, the group adopted their current name after attending a minister's service. In April 2004, they posted early tracks like “Bullets Leave Holes” and “Death or Glory” online. They released their first EP, These Past 5 Years, in 2005, which sold over one thousand copies in two months. The band followed this with the albums The Kids Can't Lose in 2009 and Motown Classics in 2010. In 2011, they signed with Rise Records and released No Sanctuary, which reached number 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. After issuing Returning to Webster Lake in 2012 and Before It Caves in 2013, the ensemble announced their disbandment in 2014. The group officially ceased activity in 2015. Their final studio album, Crises, was released posthumously on December 27, 2016.
