LeÃ³n Larregui, born in Cuernavaca, Mexico, on December 1, 1973, is a singer, composer, and producer, best known as the frontman of the iconic Mexican rock band ZoÃ©. His career began with ZoÃ© in 1997, blending psychedelic rock with introspective lyrics exploring spirituality and science fiction. After gaining acclaim with ZoÃ©âs successes, he ventured into a solo career in 2012 with Solstis, featuring the standout single "Como TÃº," showcasing a dreamy and introspective sound distinct from his bandâs work. This was followed by Voluma in 2016, which included the hit "Locos" and cemented his status as a multifaceted artist. After reuniting with ZoÃ© for the acclaimed albums AztlÃ¡n (2018) and Sonidos de KarmÃ¡tica Resonancia (2021), LeÃ³n Larregui returned to his solo endeavors with Prismarama in 2023. The album, featuring tracks like "Amantes" and "Fake News," propelled him to an international tour spanning the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador. Mixarama, a collection of remixes, arrived in 2024. The following year, LeÃ³n Larregui kept his solo work moving with the two-song set MoretÃ³n de Amor / Dau Fab, recorded with Cian CiarÃ¡n, and the later single âCometas.â At the same time, ZoÃ© moved back into the spotlight with a reunion performance at Vive Latino, followed by the new songs âCampo de Fuerzaâ and âRexsexexâ and a run of sold-out Estadio GNP shows in Mexico City. In early 2026, LeÃ³n Larregui returned to his solo career with the singles âBrumaâ and âSe Me Va,â then released his fourth solo studio album, Manifiesto de un Tremendo Delirio, in March. Built with collaborators including AdÃ¡n Jodorowsky, Rob Coudert, Yan Gorodetzky, and Vincent Polycarpe, the album marked a more intimate turn in his solo work and was introduced alongside the song âAmÃ©n.â
