22-20s were an English blues rock band formed in 2002 in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. The group consisted of Martin Trimble and Glen Bartup, who met at Carre's Grammar School and began playing together on the blues circuit under various names before settling on 22-20s, inspired by the Skip James song "22-20 Blues". Their initial performances featured primarily blues covers, but they transitioned to original material after recording a demo in Mansfield. The band signed their first publishing deal with Heavenly Records and later secured a record deal following a notable gig at the Dublin Castle in Camden. In 2003, 22-20s released their debut single "Such A Fool" and followed it with the live EP 05/03. Their self-titled studio album was released in September 2004. The band toured extensively across the UK, US, Australia, Japan, and Europe, supporting acts such as Oasis, Supergrass, Graham Coxon, The Black Crowes, and Kings of Leon. Despite critical acclaim, 22-20s disbanded in January 2006 while working on their second album in New York. They reformed briefly in 2008 to release Shake/Shiver/Moan (2010) and Got It If You Want It (2012), before disbanding again in early 2013. The band's music has been featured in numerous high-profile soundtracks, including the Guy Ritchie film RocknRolla, and advertisements such as the Vauxhall Astra television commercial featuring "Devil In Me".
