Biography

Zoey Van Goey was a Scottish indie pop band from Glasgow, formed in 2006 by Matt Brennan, Michael John McCarthy, and Kim Moore. Adam Scott became a member in 2010. The group's debut single, “Foxtrot Vandals” (2007), was produced by Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian. Zoey Van Goey self-released its debut album, The Cage Was Unlocked All Along (2009), which sold out its initial 1000 copies before being re-released by Chemikal Underground Records. The band’s second album, Propeller Versus Wings (2011), followed. Known for its eclectic sound, the band performed at festivals including T in the Park and the Wickerman Festival. In 2011, the group supported Belle and Sebastian on a European tour. The band stopped performing in 2012.
