Zoe Viccaji, born Zoe on October 25, 1983, in Kharian, Punjab, Pakistan, is a Pakistani singer-songwriter and actress. Raised in Karachi, she began playing guitar and writing songs at fifteen. Viccaji started her career at seventeen by joining a local band named Ganda Bandas. She later moved to the United States to study at Hamilton College in New York. She also performed in the stage musicals Mamma Mia! and Chicago. After returning to Pakistan, Viccaji released her debut single "Thinking About You" in 2009. In 2010, she joined Coke Studio and collaborated with Strings and Bilal Khan on the singles "Mera Bichra Yaar" and "Anjane." Her debut album Dareeche, released in September 2014 under Universal Music India, won the Best Mixed Album award at the Indian Recording Arts (IRA) in India and the Lux Style Award for Best Album in Pakistan. The album included the single "Phir Mili Tanhai," which Viccaji cited as inspired by her first major breakup.
