Zeni Geva, a Japanese rock band formed in 1987, featured singer and guitarist KK Null and drummer Tatsuya Yoshida. The group released their record, How to Kill, on Null's Nux Organization label that same year. Following lineup changes, including the addition of Mitsuru Tabata on guitar and synthesizer, they released Maximum Love + Fuck in 1989 and Maximum Money Monster in 1990. Zeni Geva gained international attention with albums like Total Castration (1991), produced by Steve Albini, and Desire for Agony (1994), released under Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label. The band embarked on extensive world tours, collaborating with notable figures such as Albini and Biafra. Their music incorporated elements from death metal to math rock. After a period of inactivity, Zeni Geva returned with the live album Alive and Rising in 2010.
