Biography
A gothic rock band formed in Brighton, England, in 2008, Esben and the Witch supported Deerhunter and The Foals before unveiling their critically acclaimed debut, Violet Cries, in 2010. Three years later, they're back with another mystical album, Wash the Sins Not Only the Face. The gothic trio, comprising singer Rachel Davies, guitarist Thomas Fisher and drummer and electronic programmer Daniel Copeman, set up their own label, Nostromo Records, and released their third album, A New Nature, produced by Steve Albini, in 2014.
