Biography
Zbigniew StanisÅaw Wodecki, born on May 6, 1950, in Kraków, Poland, was a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, singer, actor, and television presenter. He began playing the violin at a young age and studied under Juliusz Weber. In the late 1960s, Wodecki performed with the group Anawa and accompanied Ewa Demarczyk from 1968 to 1973. His breakthrough as a singer came in 1972 when he won the Best New Talent Award at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Wodecki gained significant popularity through his interpretation of "Maja, the Bee" for the animated series Maya the Bee and the soundtrack for the film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. He released several albums, including NajwiÄksze przeboje (1994), Zacznij od Bacha (1999), and Obok siebie (2002). Wodecki passed away on May 22, 2017.
