Secro Star, a rapper from the 95 region of France, has established himself as an authentic figure in French rap, blending old-school heritage with contemporary energy. Fascinated by writing and technique from an early age, he made his debut between 2008 and 2011 with three mixtapes, including Secrologie volume 1 (2008), and a debut album, Chacun son étoile (2011). Despite a rapidly changing industry, his melancholy, incisive songwriting has earned him the esteem of his peers and a loyal following. After a period in the wilderness marked by personal hardship and depression, he returned during the COVID period with a series of freestyles, notably "J'fais mes gammes " in 2022, which rekindled interest in his art. Between late 2023 and early 2025, he followed this up with three EPs, including Paradigme (December 2023), where he explores his uncompromising creativity. His single "Mandela", taken from this opus, reflects his experiences and emotions.
