Biography
Young Rival is a Canadian indie rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, consisting of Aron D'Alesio on vocals and guitar, John Smith on bass, and Noah Fralick on drums. Initially known as The Ride Theory in the early 2000s, they changed their name to Young Rival in 2007. Guitarist Kyle Kuchmey left the band at the end of 2009. Young Rival signed with Sonic Unyon and released their self-titled debut album in 2010, followed by tours opening for The Sadies and Born Ruffians. In October 2012, they released Stay Young, which featured the track "Two Reasons". The band's 2015 album Interior Light showcased a 60s-style pop music sound and appeared on the !earshot National Top 50 Chart in December of that year.
