Biography

Klezmer clarinet specialist Guillaume Humery, aka Yom, was born in Paris on March 26, 1980. This clarinet prodigy brings a progressive rock touch to the klezmer style, underlining the profound modernity of a music like no other. In 2008, Yom began by paying his own tribute to the Ukrainian master of the klezmer clarinet, Naftule Brandwein, with New King of Klezmer Clarinet. In 2009, Unué meets one of the architects of the klezmer revival, Argentine clarinetist Giora Feidman. No homage on With Love in 2011 with his Wonder Rabbis, but a completely personal and innovative vision of a style that never ceases to surprise and charm. Yom continues his quest in 2013 with The Empire of Love , open to a wide range of sounds. In 2014, he embraces the theme of uprooting with Le Silence de l'Exode . In 2016 he released the album Songs for the Old Man, followed by Prière (2018), Celebration (2021) and Alone in the Light (2023). In 2025, he teamed up with violinist Théo Ceccaldi and his cellist brother Vincent Ceccaldi for the album Le Rythme du Silence.
