Yerachmiel Begun founded The Miami Boys Choir in 1977 as a Jewish religious music group. The choir was initially based in Miami Beach, Florida. It was formed using a boys' choir to comply with Orthodox Jewish prohibitions against listening to women sing. After releasing their first albums, Begun moved the choir to New York, featuring boys primarily from the New York and New Jersey areas. The group's discography includes notable releases such as Judaea (1980), The 3rd Annual Miami Experience (Live) (1993), Chanukah - Light Up the Nights (1997), Around the Campfire: The Acapella Album (2003), and The Miami Solo Album: Hisorirus (2010). The 2005 album Miami Revach sold over 15,000 copies in its first weeks, highlighting their impact on religious music.
