Biography
YBRE (real name: Simon Lahey) is an Austrian rapper, singer and producer from the independent hip-hop scene. His style combines German hip-hop with trap beats, melodic vocals and introspective lyrics. The first published songs appeared on the internet at the end of the 2010s. An early collaboration is the single "High" with Loufre, which is released on streaming platforms in 2019. Own tracks such as "Zeit" (2021) followed shortly afterwards. The music moves between emotional rap and atmospheric productions. In the years that followed, YBRE built up a steadily growing audience on streaming services. The music reaches an audience primarily in major German cities. In total, his releases record more than 50 million streams. Over 100,000 people listen to his songs on social media every month. Several new singles are released from 2024 and 2025. These include "Letztes Mal" (2025), "Schöne & Biest" (2025), "Scherben & Smoke" (2025) and "Kein Wort" (2025). In addition, YBRE releases acoustic versions as part of the so-called Dreamsession series. These recordings include versions of "Kein Wort", "Letztes Mal" and "Schöne & Biest". The single "Superhelden" follows at the beginning of 2026.
