Biography

Yang Ji-eun (born January 9, 1990, in Jeju City, Jeju Island) is a South Korean traditional musician and trot singer. She discovered her talent for singing in 2000 after winning national awards in a children's singing competition and later trained in pansori under cultural asset Kim Soon-ja. Despite financial hardships and setbacks, including donating a kidney to her father, she persevered and emerged victorious in Miss Trot 2, reviving her singing career. Her discography includes the regular album Picnic (2024), the mini-album Listen (2023), and digital singles such as "The Taste of Living" (2021), "Sorikkot 5" (2021), and "Come Back Like Destiny" (2021). She is known for blending traditional pansori elements with trot.
