Xuefei Yang, born on March 15, 1977, in Beijing, China, is a Chinese classical guitarist. She made her public debut at age ten at the First China International Guitar Festival and later became the first guitarist in China to enter a formal music school. In 1999, she released her debut album, Classical Guitar by Xuefei Yang. She moved to London after becoming the first guitarist to receive an international scholarship from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, graduating from the Royal Academy of Music with distinction in 2002. Her international recording career continued with Romance de Amor in 2006, Concierto de Aranjuez in 2010, and J.S. Bach: Concertos & Transcriptions in 2012. In 2012, she was also awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Music. Yang has performed in over 50 countries at venues like Carnegie Hall and the BBC Proms. Her later work includes Sketches of China in 2020 and Chapeau Satie in 2025.
