X-Press 2, a British electronic music group from England, was formed in 1986 when DJ Rocky (Darren Rock) and DJ Diesel (Darren House) met. They later collaborated with Ashley Beedle after meeting him at Black Market Records in London. In 1992, the trio released their first single "Muzik X-Press" under the independent label Junior Boy's Own, which caught the attention of Terry Farley. The following year, they released "London X-Press" and "Say What!", completing a trilogy of maxis. Throughout the 1990s, X-Press 2 continued to release material under various pseudonyms, including Ballistic Brothers and Problem Kids. In 2000, X-Press 2 signed with Skint Records and released several successful singles, including "AC/DC", "Muzikizum", and "Smoke Machine". Their debut album Muzikizum was released in 2002 and featured the hit single "Lazy" with David Byrne on vocals, which reached Number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and Number two on the UK Singles Chart. The group's second studio album, Makeshift Feelgood, was released in 2006 and included collaborations with Tim DeLaughter of The Polyphonic Spree and Rob Harvey of The Music. Ashley Beedle left the group in 2009 to pursue solo projects, leaving DJ Rocky and DJ Diesel as the remaining members. In 2012, they released their third album, The House Of X-Press 2. MMXV came in 2015, with Thee following in 2023.
