Wrathchild America was an American heavy metal band formed in Martinsburg, West Virginia, in 1978 by high school friends Shannon Larkin, Kevin Keller, and Terry Carter. Initially known as Atlantis, the band underwent several name changes before settling on Wrathchild America in 1988. They released their debut album Climbin' the Walls through Atlantic Records in 1989, which peaked at number 190 on the Billboard 200. Their second and final studio album, 3-D, was released in 1991 but did not chart. Despite this, it featured two music videos, "Spy" and "Surrounded by Idiots", that received regular airplay on MTV's Headbangers Ball. The band toured extensively with notable acts such as Metallica and Slayer during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Wrathchild America disbanded in 1996, changing their name to Souls at Zero before disbanding.
