Biography

Woven is an experimental rock band from Los Angeles, California that combined electronica and rock elements, drawing influences from artists such as Björk, Aphex Twin, Pink Floyd, Jane’s Addiction, and Deftones. Woven released their debut EP EPrime on Interscope Records in 2001, which achieved strong college radio support and airplay on Los Angeles-based station KCRW 89.9. Their first full-length album, 8 Bit Monk, followed in 2003 on the same label. The album featured the tracks "My Conditioning" and "Soul Fossa," both of which were featured on CBS’s television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Woven toured extensively with acts such as Dredg, Buckethead, The Apex Theory, Mellowdrone, They Might Be Giants, and Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan. In 2008, they released their follow-up album Designer Codes.
