Biography
Sanele Sydow, known by his stage name WizTheMC, was born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1999. At the age of two, he moved with his family to Lüneburg in Germany. in 2015, he founded the music collective NO HOMES with friends, which remained active for two years. in 2017, Sanele Sydow decides to move to Toronto, Canada, to further his solo career. There he develops his unique style, which combines elements of hip-hop, rap and pop. in 2018, he released his first two albums, Backin Toronto and Blessings in Disguise. His breakthrough came in 2020 with the single "For a Minute", which reached over 66 million streams on social media. His third album Growing Teeth is released in the same year. the album Where Silence Feels Good followed in 2022, underlining his musical development. WizTheMC is known for his energetic live performances and has already shared the stage with artists such as A$AP Rocky, Billie Eilish and Burna Boy. wizTheMC returns in 2025 with the single "Show me love".
