Miss May I, a metalcore band from Troy, Ohio, was formed in 2007 by Levi Benton, Justin Aufdemkampe, BJ Stead, Jerod Boyd, and Ryan Neff. Their debut EP, Vows for a Massacre, was released in late 2007, followed by a demo in 2008 featuring songs that would later appear on their first album, Apologies Are for the Weak (2009). This album marked their signing with Rise Records. Their second album, Monument (2010), reached number 10 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The band toured extensively, supporting acts like Abandon All Ships and Sleeping with Sirens. In June 2012, they released their third album, At Heart. Their fourth album, Rise of the Lion, was released in 2014. Deathless followed in August 2015. In June 2017, they released their sixth album, Shadows Inside.
