Biography

Pat Wictor, born in 1966 in Caripito, Venezuela, is an American blues and folk musician, guitarist, singer-songwriter, and recording artist. He began playing guitar at a young age and returned to music in 1993 after working as a community organizer and high school teacher. Wictor formed the band Tall Tales with guitarist Jim Ypsilantis. Notable albums include Waiting for the Water (2004), which reached number 4 on the Folk-DJ Charts, and Heaven Is So High...And I'm So Far Down (2006). He has been nominated for several awards, including Emerging Artist of the Year by Folk Alliance International in 2006. In 2017, he released his album This Is Absolutely Real. Wictor co-founded the folk trio Brother Sun in late 2009 with Joe Jencks and Greg Greenway.
