Westkust was a Swedish rock band from Gothenburg, formed in 2010. The original lineup included Julia Bjernelind on vocals, Brian Cukrowski on guitar, Philip Söderlind on drums, and Rikard Hjort on bass. In 2011, the band added Gustav Andersson and Hugo Randulv from the post-punk band Makthaverskan. Westkust released their first EP, Junk EP, in 2012, followed by the single "Summer 3D" / "Weekends" in 2013. Their debut studio album, Last Forever, was released on April 22, 2015, in Scandinavia via Luxury and Run for Cover Records and later in the United States on July 10, 2015. The band underwent significant lineup changes between their first and second albums, with Hjort, Andersson, and Randulv departing and being replaced by Pär Carlsson on bass, while Bjernelind became the sole vocalist and also played guitar. Westkust's self-titled second album was released on March 1, 2019, via Run for Cover Records. On January 7, 2023, the band announced their breakup on Facebook.
