Jowall, born ì¡°ìì in Seoul in 1979, is a South Korean rock singer. He first emerged as a member of the shoegaze band Underwear Band in 2000 and later coâfounded the electronica group Byul.org with his brother Jo Taesang in 2001. Jowall launched his solo career in 2009, releasing the debut album Things You Are Going to See Here on 20â¯Mayâ¯2009. He followed with Clean & Clear on 1â¯Januaryâ¯2013, a project noted for its refined lowâfi textures, and To Celebrate Nothing on 23â¯Juneâ¯2020. In 2015 he collaborated with Choi Taehyeon on Mirror and Corpse, and in 2023 issued the single "Snowdrift" featuring Lee Taehoon. In 2024, he released another single "Your Love as My Pretext". His work has earned critical acclaim within South Koreaâs postârock and shoegaze scenes, though no commercial chart positions or awards are recorded.
