Biography
Zzzaam, a South Korean shoegaze band formed in 1997, consists of members Park Seongwoo (guitar and vocals), Jang Dae-won (bass), Park Seung-jun (lead guitar) and Do Jaemyeong (drums). They debuted in the music scene at Drug, a live club, and released their first album, Siesta, in 2000, which, along with their subsequent albums, Requiem #1 in 2002 and Mirror Play in 2004, helped them gain popularity particularly among indie music fans frequenting Hongdae's clubs. Despite a hiatus following their third album, during which time members pursued individual music careers, the band resumed activities in 2023. They remastered and released their first two albums for online streaming, receiving positive reviews for revitalizing their unique sound in the shoegaze genre. They released their 4th album Shine in 2024.
