Biography

Warsawpack was a Canadian experimental rap-rock group based in Hamilton, Ontario, founded in 1999 by Lee Raback, Scott Rankin, Jaroslav Wassman, and Matt Cormier, blending rap, rock, jazz, and dub with politically charged lyrics. The group released the EP Due to Long Foreseen Events in 2000, which led to a contract with G7 Welcoming Committee Records. Their album Gross Domestic Product followed in 2002, and the second full‑length Stocks & Bombs appeared in 2003, reaching the !earshot National Top 50 Chart that year. Warsawpack toured Canada and performed at Canada Music Week in 2004 before disbanding later that year. In 2015, their song "Poorboy Blues" was voted one of the top four songs by a Hamilton band in a CBC Hamilton song contest.
