Biography

The Movement, an American reggae band, was formed in 2003 in Columbia, South Carolina by Josh Swain and Jordan Miller. Their debut album On Your Feet (2004) launched their career in alternative reggae. The band gained traction through touring and opening for acts like Steel Pulse and The Wailers. In 2010, Swain left the band but returned in 2012 to replace Miller as lead singer and guitarist. Their album Side by Side (2013) entered the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart at number 2. Subsequent albums include Beneath the Palms (2013), Golden (2016), and Ways of the World (2019). The band has collaborated with artists such as Stick Figure, Iya Terra, and Jacob Hemphill of SOJA.
