Biography

War & Peace, an American band originating from Los Angeles, California, was founded in 1989 by Jeff Pilson, former bassist of Dokken. Initially named Flesh & Blood, the group underwent several lineup changes before settling on a stable formation with Pilson on vocals and rhythm guitar, Tommy "Hendrix" Henriksen on bass, Russ "Satchel" Parrish on lead guitar, and Ricky Parent on drums. Their debut album, Time Capsule, was released in 1993 under Shrapnel Records. The band's subsequent releases included The Flesh And Blood Sessions (1999) and Light At The End Of The Tunnel (2001). Notable collaborations included James Kottak of Scorpions on the latter album. Pilson also released solo material, such as The Walls Have Eyes in 2004, where he played multiple instruments himself. The band's music was characterized by heavy grooves and strong melodies, often compared to Dokken’s hard rock sound.
