Biography
Acrophet, an American thrash metal band, was formed in 1986 in Brookfield, Wisconsin by high school friends Jason Mooney, Paul Klein, Dave Pelino, and Todd Saikie. Their demo The Answer Within (1987) secured a contract with Triple X Records / Roadrunner Records. The band's debut album, Corrupt Minds, was released in October 1988, followed by tours across Mexico and the USA, including opening acts for bands like Sepultura and Testament. Their second album, Faded Glory, was released in 1990. Guitarist Todd Saikie left later that year and was replaced by Rob Anthony in 1991. Acrophet disbanded in 1991. After the group disbanded, their albums were remastered and re-released through Metal Mind Productions in 2008.
