Wand, an American psychedelic rock band from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 2013 by Cory Hanson on vocals and guitar. Before forming Wand, Cory Hanson performed under the moniker W.H.I.T.E. and played with Mikal Cronin in various bands. The band's debut album, Ganglion Reef, was released in 2014 on Ty Segallâs label God? Records. Following this, they quickly released their second studio album, Golem, produced by Chris Woodhouse, and the self-produced follow-up, 1000 Days. In 2017, Wand released Plum and followed it with the EP Perfume in 2018. Their fifth album, Laughing Matter, was released in 2019. The band added guitarist Robert Cody to their core lineup in 2016. In 2024, Wand returned with the release of Vertigo.
