Biography

Paul Wade Bowen, born October 18, 1978 in Waco, Texas, is an American singer-songwriter known for his contributions to Texas country music. He began his career as part of the band West 84 with Matt Miller, which later became Wade Bowen and West 84. His first album, Try Not To Listen, released in 2002, gained regional popularity in Texas. Subsequent studio albums include Lost Hotel (2006) and If We Ever Make It Home (2008). In 2012, Bowen released The Given, his first major label album under Sony imprint BNA Records. He returned to independent releases after BNA closed, releasing a self-titled studio album in 2014 and collaborating with Randy Rogers on Hold My Beer Vol. 1 (2015). Notable albums include Then Sings My Soul: Songs for My Mother (2016) and Solid Ground (2018). During the Covid-19 pandemic, Bowen hosted a web series called Wade's World, featuring prominent Texas musicians.
