Vivian Jones, born in 1957 in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica, was a reggae singer who moved to England at age ten. He began his career in the mid-1970s with bands like The Spartans and the Mighty Vibes. In 1980, Vivian Jones started recording solo and achieved a hit with "Good Morning", which topped the UK reggae charts. His debut album Bank Robbery was released in 1984. In the 1990s, he founded his own label, Imperial House, and enjoyed hits like "Sugar Love" and "Strong Love". Notable albums include The King (1992), Moment of Magic (1997), Big Leaders We Don't Want No War (2003), and 50th (2007). Vivian Jones died on October 27, 2025.
