Biography
Eek-a-Mouse, whose real name is Ripton Joseph Hylton, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall performer who began recording in 1982. He has released several albums including Skidip! (1982), Mouseketeer (1984), Mouse-a-Mania (1988), U-Neek (1991), Black Cowboy (1996), Eeka-Speeka (2004), Live in San Francisco (2006), Eekziled (2011) and Give It to Them (2016). His best-known singles are 'Wa Do Dem' and 'Ganja Smuggling'. He appears regularly at Jamaica's Reggae Sunsplash Festival and he has collaborated with acts such as Lue Lepki, Satellite and Michigan & Smiley. He performed at venues in Cardiff and Leeds in the UK in 2018 and his 2019 schedule featured appearances at venues in France and the Netherlands.
