Uwe Kobler, known professionally as Uwe Kaa, was born on December 27, 1977, in Passau, Germany, and is a German-speaking rapper, reggae singer, and musician. He started his music career as a rapper with Reim In da Tube from 1995 to 2000 and co-founded the Roots Rockers Soundsystem in 1998. His first release under the name Roots Rockers was "Babylon" on Orange Hill in 2001. Under the same name, he released his album Tanzen & Schreiân with Sony BMG/Chet Records in 2004, which included the notable single "Wunderschön". His breakthrough came with "Dancehall Story", a cult classic in the German reggae scene. In 2011, he released his second solo album, Danebenbenehmen. Uwe Kaa has collaborated with artists like Phenomden and Ras Muhamad and toured extensively, including Indonesia in 2012. Uwe Kaa's third solo album, Eine Liebe, was released in 2014. His third solo album, Eine Liebe, was released in 2014. On this album, he returned to his hip-hop roots and rapped more. He later performed mostly with a DJ, a sound system, or as a solo artist.
