Biography
Upsilon Acrux is an American progressive rock ensemble formed in 1998 in Los Angeles. The group first appeared on the compilation Trummerflora 2. Its discography included the studio recordings In the Acrux of the Upsilon King (1999) and The Last Pirates of Upsilon (1999). The band released Last Train Out in 2002 and expanded to a five-piece for Volucris Avis Dirae-Arum (2004). After signing with Cuneiform Records, the group released Galapagos Momentum in 2007. The album reached number 2 on the Organ Magazine end-of-year list. The ensemble performed with artists such as Mission of Burma and The Locust. In 2009, the group released Radian Futura and performed on a European tour. The ensemble released the album Sun Square Dialect in 2015. Paul Lai remained the only constant member since the group's inception.
