Biography

Ulrich Roski, born on March 4, 1944, in Prüm, Germany, was a German singer-songwriter. He grew up in Berlin and attended the French Gymnasium, where he was classmates with Reinhard Mey. Roski's career began with the 1969 EP Ein Hoch auf den freiheitlichen Berliner. His breakthrough came in 1970 with the album …daß dich nicht die Schweine beißen, followed by over 20 more albums. Notable songs include "Kleiner Mann im Ohr" and "Des Pudels Kern", which charted in the mid-1970s. Roski performed extensively, often accompanying himself on piano or guitar, and collaborated with artists like Schobert & Black and Hannes Wader. He released his autobiography In vollen Zügen in 2002. Roski passed away on February 20, 2003.
