Biography

Ulli Bögershausen, born on May 16, 1954, in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany, is a guitarist known for his solo performances and educational contributions. He began playing the guitar at age nine and became an influential figure in various genres including blues, classical, electronic, folk, jazz, pop, and rock. Bögershausen's career took off with the release of his debut album Ganz bestimmt vielleicht in 1981. He gained international recognition through tours in Japan, the USA, and Taiwan in 1995. Notable albums include Im Zwielicht (1983), Gegen die Zeit (1984), Autogen (1987), Live (1988), and April (1991). He authored several guitar instruction books, such as Profipicking leichtgemacht (1996) and Fingerstyle Guitar leichtgemacht (1997). Bögershausen's performances include appearances at the Internationales Tanz- und Folkfestival Rudolstadt in 1997 and the Gitarrenfestival Wiesloch in 1997. He is an endorser of Lakewood Guitars, which produced a signature model for him.
