Eike Moriz (born May 14, 1972), known professionally as Ike Moriz, is a German-South African pop, rock, and jazz singer, songwriter, and actor from Friedberg, Hesse. Moriz studied at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music between 1995 and 1999 before relocating to London. He founded Mosquito Records London and released the single âFall Into The Sunâ in 2002, followed by the album Mirrors and Shade in 2004. Moriz moved to South Africa in 2005, where he was voted one of the countryâs top five singers in 2006. He released the album Play Me (2005) and the jazz-focused Stardust trilogy (2009). His subsequent recordings included Siren Terpsichore (2012), Love Swings (2015), and Gold Rush (2017). Moriz released the compilation Millennium Hits 2002-2018 and the album Dragons (2020). He also appeared in films including Shanghai Knights (2003) and Love Actually (2003).
