Tyler Ballgame, the stage name of American singer-songwriter Tyler D. Perry, grew up in Rhode Island and sang in musical-theatre circles before moving to Los Angeles. After years of uncertainty and depression, he rebuilt his career through open mics; a viral performance clip drew producer Jonathan Radoâs attention and led to studio sessions. In 2024â2025 he released the singles âHelp Me Outâ (which reached number 14 on the UK Physical Singles Sales), âRadio,â âSarah,â âHold,â âGot a New Car,â and âI Believe in Love,â then signed to Rough Trade Records. His debut album For the First Time, Again arrived in 2026, blending vintage soft-rock crooning with modern indie polish.
