Originally from New Jersey, where he was born on May 31, 1979, Brian James Christinzio made his name as B.C. Camplight. A multi-instrumentalist, he moved to Philadelphia in 2003 and signed with the One Little Indian label, for which he produced the albums Hide, Run Away (2005) and Blink of a Nihilist (2007), both of which feature his eclectic touch towards power pop and baroque pop. Already noticed by critics, who praise his rich arrangements and versatility, B.C. Camplight crosses the Atlantic and sets up his studio in Manchester. He signs a new contract with the Bella Union label and, between two tours, records the albums How to Die in the North (2015), Deportation Blues (2018), Shortly After Takeoff (2020), The Last Rotation of Earth (2023) and A Sober Conversation (2025).
