Biography
Tyson Illingworth, known professionally as tyDi, was born on May 31, 1987 in Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia. He began his career as a producer and DJ specializing in electronic dance music at the age of 14 and signed with Armin van Buuren's Armada label at 17.
tyDi released his debut album Look Closer in 2009, which reached number 2 on the Australian Dance Charts. His second album, Shooting Stars, was released in 2011. In October 2012, he signed a worldwide publishing deal with Rondor/Universal Music and a record deal with Republic Records in April 2013. tyDi's fourth album, Redefined, debuted at number 4 and number 5 on the iTunes Dance charts in the USA and Australia, respectively, in September 2014. The title track "Redefined" became the Number 1 dance airplay record in the USA and reached number 9 on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart in April 2015.
