Biography
Trashcan Darlings, a glam punk band from Oslo, was founded in 1995 by Chris Damien Doll and Strange? Gentle. The group, which also included Frankie Nachtnebel, Q. Ken Rockers, Andy Hunter, Dan Dee, Skinny Shotgun, Eric Carr, and Birdy, released their debut single "I Just Wanna Die (On A Chemical High)" in 1999. This was followed by the signing to a German record label, East Side Records, and extensive touring across Europe, including Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, and Scandinavia. Their first EP, Gore Gore Boys & Splatter Pussies, was released in 2000. Notable releases include the albums Episode I: The Lipstick Menace (2002), Getting Away with Murder (2006) and Real Fucking Make-Up! (2008). The band announced their retirement in summer of 2008, with Strange? Gentle citing a lack of inspiration. Their final performance took place on December 13, 2008, in Oslo.
