Traffic Sound was a Peruvian rock band formed in 1967. The group initially performed covers at private parties in Lima before releasing their LP Virgin in 1969, which included tracks like "Yellow Sea Days" and "Meshkalina". In 1970, they released the self-titled album. Their international tour in 1971, sponsored by Braniff International Airlines, marked them as the first Peruvian rock group to perform abroad. The band disbanded in 1972 due to political unrest but reunited periodically starting in 1993, releasing compilations like Greatest Hits (1998). Their song "Meshkalina" was featured in the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico.
