Group 1850, a Dutch psychedelic rock band, was founded in The Hague in 1964. Initially known as Klits, they renamed themselves Group 1850 in 1966 upon releasing their debut single "Misty Night" / "Look Around". Their first album, Agemo's Trip To Mother Earth, was released in late 1968. Despite charting success with the single "Mother No-Head", which reached number 24 on the Dutch Top 40, Group 1850 struggled to gain international traction. Their second album, Paradise Now, was released in 1969. The band disbanded in 1976, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most innovative acid rock bands from their era, having opened for the Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, and Janis Joplin.
