Jess Jochimsen was born on July 16, 1970, in Munich, Germany. Jochimsen is a kabarettist, author, and musician who began performing as a kleinkünstler while at the Gymnasium Vaterstetten. Since 1995, he has toured as a freelance comedian and gained national recognition through television appearances on programs including Scheibenwischer and the Quatsch Comedy Club. Since 2000, he has moderated the WDR radio program Die Vorleser. Jochimsen's musical output includes the live recordings FRISS, VÃGEL oder STIRB! (1999), Das Krippenspiel (2000), and Das Dosenmilch-Trauma (2001). In collaboration with musician Sascha Bendiks, he released the albums Flaschendrehen und andere miese Bräuche (2004) and Das wird jetzt ein bisschen weh tun (2007). Subsequent recordings include Durst ist schlimmer als Heimweh (2009) and Was sollen die Leute denken (2011).
