Peter Klocke (born 20â¯Decemberâ¯1948 in EssenâSteele, Germany) is a German singer, cabaret artist, author, and actor. After studies at Bonn, he moved to Amsterdam, played guitar in funk and soul bands, and returned to Essen. From 1980 to 1982, he worked as an actor at Städtische Bühnen Essen before founding the musicâtheatre Kamikaze Orkester, creating the role of Professor SchmittâHindemith. His solo career began with Oâlala (1982) and was followed by Sklaven der Liebe (1983) and Life Is A Sample (1988). Notable singles include "Huaâ¯Huaâ¯Tschyâ¯Tschy" (1983) and "Luder" (1995). He composed music for the WDR thriller Der Leibwächter (1989) and the feature Peng! Du bist tot! (1987), the title track of which charted. His cabaret work earned a Goldener Löwe (1998), the Bavarian Cabaret Prize (1999) and the Tegtmeiers Erben jury award (2001).
