Biography

Konrad Johann Aloysia Beikircher, also known as Konrad Beikircher, born on December 22, 1945, in Bruneck, South Tyrol, is a German cabaret artist, musician, and author. He began his career studying psychology and journalism at universities in Vienna and Bonn before transitioning to a career as a prison psychologist. In 1986, he left this role to pursue a career as a freelance cabaretist. Beikircher's work often focused on the language and culture of the Rhineland region. Beikircher received numerous awards for his contributions to regional dialect and culture, including the Morenhovener Lupe in 1988, the Rheinlandtaler in 1993, and the Friedestrompreis in 2002. His notable albums include Neues Und Altes Zwischen Himmel Un Ääd (2005) and Am Schönsten Isset, Wenn Et Schön Is! (2009). He was awarded the Bundesverdienstkreuz 1. Klasse in 2012.
